Synergy Spanish Review
Synergy Spanish claims that you only need to learn 138 Spanish words to get by when traveling through Spanish-speaking countries. I’m sure this is true, as just two words—please (por favor) and thank you (gracias)—are usually enough when accompanied by charades-like hand waving.
But will these 138 words really help you speak everyday Spanish? Probably not. The author says he deliberately avoids bogging the course down in grammar, but without grammar you sound like—to be frank—an idiot.
That said, if you don’t have much time before a trip and you need to learn some Spanish quickly, Synergy Spanish could be your best option. It comes in both CD and MP3 options, so you can play your lesson anywhere to fit it into a busy day and, while it won’t make you sound intelligent to the locals, it will help them at least understand you, which can make your trip much, much more enjoyable.
Its main idea is to teach you a simple method of combining Spanish words within conversations. You may learn fast in simple speaking conversations, but not comprehensively in mastering Spanish language. If you're looking for a complete Spanish course teaches you every thing like writing, reading, speaking, this course is not for you.
