Found this while searching for fixes for a specific issue, which this did not resolve. However, the registry seems intact. Full run fix took 8 hours, far greater than the 1 hour on their popup window. While rounding back, since this did not resolve the original purchase intent, with customer service, I'm now told they must remotely access the machine.
Reimage Review - DO NOT BUY IT - SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT
This sit the second year I paid for and downloaded Reimage.
They indicated it will take about one hour. It took me nearly three hours to download 82% of the software. OI had to stop, since I ran out of time. I tried a second time, no better and again a third time, worse.
I sent a message to their after sales support. All I received was an acknowledgement and a ticket number. That was on Nov 26, 2014. Despite three more reminders on my part, there has been NO RESPONSE from their support group.
I telephoned the company ans was kept waiting on the line for 35 minuted without anyone answering.
DO NOT BUY THE PRODUCT. Their service is like LinkedIn, where Jeff Weiner and his crew they are the be all and end all to business social media and don't have to respond t their usets' queries and issues.
Both disgusting and despicable companies where hubris reigns supreme.
I am sending message to all computer web sites advising them of Reimages' disinterest in helping their paid users. If I was in the US, I would sue them. Unfortunately, being in China, it's impossible.
NONE to expensive for he service they offer
They do not reply to tickets - SERVICE IS DISGUSTING
They deserve a 0! They are completely non-supportive when their program cannot help your computer. The story is too long but I must report that They were not able to improve my computer. They BOLDLY promise a 60 day money back, no questions asked, warranty.( Ha! Ha!) After attempts to repair my computer FAILED, I asked for a refund. Their support team said of course you have 60 days for a refund, will you just try another approach. I agreed but IT FAILED to repair my computer. My refund requests now started to be treated strangely. I would receive requests for info, which I provided more than once. They did not acknowledge receiving and canceled my ticket due to my alleged non-response. (I DID RESPOND) I called and was told of course you may have a refund by Dan, but will you try one more computer to computer assist. I agreed. By the time, the appt. came up, I could no longer get on my computer. (error code 0xc000000f, Nothing will boot, load or start.) Now they start addition hoops I must jump through. (So much for that 60 day no questions asked warranty) Cathy told me I must Erase the program from my computer, for a refund to be issued. I was sent to Tech Rep, Rico, who listened to my problems and promised to send an email to process a refund. No emailed came!. I called again, Dan said oh you just need to email billing with your info. for a refund. So I did. I now have had NO RESPONSE from anyone at Reimage plus.com. This company has hidden in their site that you should request a refund within 7 days and that you must erase everything the program did. They have been the most devious site support I have had the displeasure to deal with. I have sent numerous refund requests and they do not respond at all. If you want to throw your money away buy their program, but if you have real problems it will not help and then they keep your money. Is that just DISHONEST or what? The CEO reports how honest they are, he must not really know what goes on with the people who have serious computer issues that his program cannot help. VERY BAD experience with a VERY BAD company! DO NOT BUY Reimageplus.com! is my HONEST opinion!!
After I paid and got the license # I ran a scan. Scan complete, "Repair system" . A window opened selling the license again. It said "Expired"! Chatted with support and got a new #. That worked. A week later I ran the scan again... same problem.
During normal surfing it popped up in a new window and said "3 viruses found! Run a scan". and then the hype about the expired license and buy it again.
Having used Paypal, I initiated the resolution process. Waiting for results within 20 days.
Almost as bad as the old PC Doctor malware. Removed with Revo uninstaller.
Nice if it works but didn't work on my problems with my computer
I went to this site because I was told it was free to try. It is free to try but if you have anything needing fixing which we all do, then you have to pay. If you have more than one computer and want to use it on all of them, then you have to pay more. I got a free trial of AVG and it did all the same things and repaired the problems with my computer.
Not worth the price and it does not do a good job on repairing System Crashes
I installed the software because of the advertised ability to detect and repair all Blue Screen Crashes. After going through the pains of installation (including having to remove my Spybot/Search&Destroy Software and disabling my Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials) I ran a a scan. The result were it did not even find the 11 blue screen crashes I experienced over the past 3 months. They were the allusive Code 41, event 63 crashes.
Previous to installing I had asked Tech support, before I purcrhase this software will it fix this type of crash and was told it should resolve it. But, he added if he doesn't we have unlimited tech support and if that doesn't work, we will give you a refund. I am glad I didn't make the purchase. The final message from Tech support was "I hope you are aware that the crashes you are having are related to drivers and Reimage can't fix that.
My advice to you is that it does many things well, but you can get the same protection and repair from some very excellent free software. Unless you are a novice and want everything in one place don't bother.
Does not repair Blue Screen Crashes as advertised.
