Avoid this and you will not be scamed.
Very smooth talkers. Became obvious that the outfit was not for real. I doubt it I get my $41 back.
I could not possibly recommend this
I have asked for my money back - but all I get is emails from the Support Centre saying that if I do not reply within 72 hours - they will consider the case satisfactorily closed.
reimage will not refund money
I called and asked for a refund, they passed me around to five people in India and I could not understand them they wanted remote control of my computer and I said no , I told them I wanted a refund they hung up on me.
It didn't work. My computer runs slower and has even more problems. I almost lost all my photos on an external disk, used the driver detective to get them back again and now it's screwed up again. My photos are back but it takes forever to load them up. Refund is in process. It shouldn't have to cost anything and Norton didn't detect it either that it was bad which should tell you that it's okay but it's not.
Waste of a Day
Scan carried out OK . Paid for "One time Licence Key" £19.95 . Started repair and got to 77.5% and froze , left it for 1 hour ,still did not move . Deleted every thing & started again. This time it got to 86.2% and froze again . Left it another hour and still no action . Tried numerous times to ring help line & every time after about 10 minutes got cut off without speaking to a human . Restored my computer to previous setting & sought a refund . Not had any luck with that so far but I will keep trying.
Before using this product I had 3 windows downloads. after it scanned my computer I had 87 important windows downloads, my windows power shell was disabled and I had 102 registry errors. Steer clear of this product.
it's a scam
i needed a good virus hunter and wanted a program that could repair damaged files... so i got this program about 2 weeks ago and it said to '' call this number to have program activated '' the lady who answered proceeded to request that she be able to remotely assist which i stupidly agreed to... she ran it then told me i had a trojan in my system32 driver and for $129.00 she could remove it after i had just paid to get the program... come to find out reimage repair was the source of the trojan.... so i paid to be hacked!!!! now i'm not likely to see a refund and i'm preparing to try to get the auto billing stopped.. UUGGGHHHH
Scary software and support
Paid for the Reimage program and obtained a license to use on one computer. When I ran it, it was still running after 4 hours. I called the support number from the software and the tech wanted to login to fix the program (LogMeIn). She started jumping all over saying part of the Windows OS had stopped. Then she turned me over to her supervisor and he loaded "Advanced Password Manager". He didn't explain why and then loaded a screen that wanted my credit card info to continue on. That's when I pulled my internet connection and demanded to know what he was doing. When he tried to deflect I hung up and I've been trying to delete all these programs since. BEWARE THEIR SUPPORT!. i see that some reviewers have had good results but I don't trust them.
fix in 2 min ,a startdocprinter call was not issued
I still don't have a fix for it
Do not buy - no support
Soon found out that this software did not solve my W10 Upgrade problem. Support is non existent so a refund is not possible. There is a risk that they will keep taking money every anniversary.
waste of time
I used re-image repair twice, and both times I needed to manually reload approximately 175 security patches/downloads from Microsoft--taking several hours. No improvement in my issues. I finally reloaded Windows 7 and have most issues resolved. After re-loading, Re-image came up with a need to fix 75 more issues.....I reluctantly agreed...and had to reload another 173 security patches/downloads manually. Before reloading, I wiped Re-image from my machine and my life.
Use at your peril!!!! Destroyed my PC completely!!!
The easiest way to explain this is to give you the whole story. I initially had what I thought was a well functioning computer, the only problem being that it would not download one of the latest updates in Windows Update for Security Essentials. Eventually I uninstalled Securtiy Essentials and tried to reinstall. It was unsuccessful. So I looked for a solution and found Reimage.
It's claims to be able to restore Window, have 24/7 support etc convinced me to run a scan. Unsurprisingly it found a whole host of problems and I foolishly purchased a copy to 'fix' the problems.
Once they were supposedly fixed - I tried to install Security Essentials and it worked. For a few minutes I was happy. However, the 'repair' had wiped out ALL of my updates and there were a total of 174 to install. I repeatedly tried this but each time it failed.
I contacted support and they suggested a remote session and assured me that they would be able to fix everything. The tech's faioled to email me as promised and I could not get hold of them until after the appointment had passed. Once I finally got hold of them, they took control oif my PC and eventually downloaded someone elses Windows repair file from Tweeking.com. I found this somewhat strange, especially given their claims about their own product! This program found another load of problems and they were supposedly fixed. While that was going on, my tech disappeared and didn't bother his arse to get back in touch with me. This meant I sat at my PC for 2 hours waiting (at 3-5am) for him to return. He didn't!!
Once again I tried to do updates and once again they failed.
So I decided to run another reimage scan to see if the problems were gione - after all 2 repairs now with 2 different products? I was soprely disappointed. Not only did it find a whole load of problems, but it now found a problem marked 'SERIOUS'. It turned out to be a Trojan attached to the file the techs had downloaded from Tweeking.com!!!!!
I did another Reimage 'repair' and once again there were 174 updates to download and install from Microsoft.
I left my PC to do this and went to work.
On my return, I find that my PC has crashed and will not reboot.!!!
I contacted support - who once again said 'Don't worry - we will get it back running perfect for you'.
Once again, I got no email and once again the tech was late. Over 2 hours this time.
He couldn't get anywhere with my PC and then said that the damage was outside of their 'support' and I would have to pay £70!!!!
I thought this was outrageous, but was desperate for my PC to be fixed.
After a whole night with no sleep and 8 hours with the tech - he was unable to fix it and said that I needed to do a clean install! This I am more than capable of doing myself.
So - if you're still reading - DO NOT be tempted to use this company. EVERYTHING they claim are LIES
I DID get my money back - BUT that is little consolation, now that I have a PC which is USELESS - all thanks to THEM.
I AM NOT HAPPY (This will be copied to as many forums/feedback sites as I can find - these people need to be stopped!)
This seems to be one of the worst programs I have ever purchased. My computer is worse now than when I purchase Reimage some things no longer work biggest mistake I ever made.
Created and previously non existing issue
I performed the free scan. After viewing the report, I decided to give the registry repair a try. After the repair and re boot, I no longer had a start menu on windows 10. I immediately rescanned the system and came up with a completely different security problem than had been listed in the previous scan. Called the 888# and spoke to a gentleman who I could hardly understand on a terrible telephone line. He wanted to go on to my computer to find out what caused the problem. When I asked him how much that would cost he said that it would cost $150 to $200. I hung up and told him I would never use their service again.
Used it once too often (that was the first time)
It totally wrecked my system. I had to reinstall windows and all my programs. About 12 or 14 hours (Over 2 days.)
When I called their support line I could not understand and requested another rep. They hung up. Called again-same problem. Their reps. can hardly speak English. I requested a refund, by email (per their written policy) and all I get is a
runaround. Now after 3 emails they don't even respond.
Told my p c was so bad a thecie would have to do it at at a further cost of $99. Argued, got it down to $60 more. They used thisisuDax, a FREE junkware removal tool and revouninstaller to remove avast security and its associated 1766 files .Still slow, get unresponsive pages, downloads fail.I despair. Trying to cont. them, no response yet. All a con. Stay clear. Having paid a total of c£66 I expected my pc to work as it originally did but it is little better. Going to ask for my money back. Wish me luck.
Do not renew subscription.
This product only made matters worse. After 2 or 3 months, I had a computer technitian review it and he immediately uninstalled it. Reimage now wants to charge me for another year's subscription. They have cleverly made it so that I cannot even contact them to cancil the subscription. Instead, I had to go to my credit card company to block the charge.
Reimage THUMBS DOWN
I have Norton Security installed and i was getting messages from Norton indicating the Reimage was a serious threat and then deleted the product after speaking with the Norton support people. Be carefull because once enrolled they will bill you annually even though you have cancelled the product thru Reimage ! ! It is a circus trying to get the automatic billing blocked . The product when installed appears to be doing good stuff but every situation is way OVER dramatized to make it seem that Reimage is the great saviour when it prob is doing NOTHING
This product does not do what it state that it does. This is truly a scam, when I went to get my money back, it became a huge issue and has taken more than 8 days. If I can say anything to anyone DO NOT BY THIS PIECE OF TRASH SOFTWARE. There are many out there better than this!!!!!!!!
BIG RIP OFF !!
Reimage failed to reissue a key when software damaged computer and I lost the program, Wanted to try and reverse damage. They would not refund.
First let me say, I was a software tester for several companies, including Microsoft, for more than 10 years.
I purchased your software to fix one problem – the vundo Trojan. You advertised in more than one place on the net that your software could fix that, and instead screwed up my computer. It did not get rid of the trojan, even though I ran Reimage more than 3 times. It took me 3 days and 3 other softwares to finally get rid of the Trojan. Your product advertised it could take care of the problem, not only did it do that, but it has screwed up all of my windows updates. I will have to contact Microsoft to try and straighten out my windows updates.
I have tried running Reimage at least 6 times to straighten out my windows update, it does not fix that problem. And in trying to fix the problem your software created, reimage ties up my computer for hours, so that I cannot use it for anything else. It just keeps deleting all the updates and reinstalling them over and over, but does not fix the problem that it created.
Your software is in no way ready for public use. It is sluggish and creates problems, instead of fixing the ones it says it can repair.
I want the $45 that I paid you for this software immediately credited back to my credit card. I am uninstalling your software, and if it causes me further problems, you will be hearing from me.
Had to do a system restore in order to get the computer to run again, but the initial problem was still there. A waste of money and trying to deal with the company was a nightmare.
I don't appreciate my computer being taken over. I was considering buying your product but when you hijacked my browser, I cannot get rid of you fast enough.
If you have a good program, why do you have to be involved with deceptive activities.
Former Reimage Product Champion
Reimage recently initiated a policy wherein a browser plug-in called “Babylon” is automatically installed on your computer during the course of downloading the Reimage software. Babylon is a browser plug-in for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. The toolbar overrides default browser settings, does not provide an option to automatically revert to previous settings, and is infamous for the complicated un-installation process. This behavior qualifies the software as malware in many users’ opinions. After failing to complete an uninstall of Babylon, I contacted Reimage support. It took the tech 57 minutes to uninstall Babylon.
It seems that the Reimage repair program is now a kind of Trojan horse that proliferates the Babylon browser technology. For me, the Babylon browser is markedly substandard, objectionable and very difficult to remove from your system. Prior to purchasing Reimage, I would urge all potential customers to research “Babylon” to understand what they’re in for.
Whoops, I made a mistake purchasing this crap. Back to the drawing board.
Stay away!!! They oversell the effectiveness and customer service is pitiful. I would give them zero stars if I could. Beware.
I agree with the "Horrible Tech Support" comment. Dont waste your time or money. I have spent 5 weeks trying to set an appointment with these guys. I work from 7 am to 6 pm. They suggested an appointment at midnight! Some people may be up at that hour but not me!!! I will get a refund and seek proffessional help.
Warning, horrible tech support
Reimage did a fair job of replacing some missing files, but after about a week I started having other problems, like not being able to load and run an Active X. Then I started getting error messages that my CPU usuage was extremely high. When I contacted Tech Support they wanted to remotely hook up to my computer and check it out. Fine I said, but it took almost 2 weeks for them to schedule a time, then tech was foreign and was late calling in. He didn't seem to know what I was talking about. He did fix one thing by changing the configuration of IE. From there it went downhill and I finally disconnected. Not one word back from them asking if I was satified or not. I don't recommend this to anyone.
Will not uninstall
I thought it was too expensive. I have not been able to uninstall the program using the programs uninstaller or the windows uninstaller.
