Reimage THUMBS DOWN
I have Norton Security installed and i was getting messages from Norton indicating the Reimage was a serious threat and then deleted the product after speaking with the Norton support people. Be carefull because once enrolled they will bill you annually even though you have cancelled the product thru Reimage ! ! It is a circus trying to get the automatic billing blocked . The product when installed appears to be doing good stuff but every situation is way OVER dramatized to make it seem that Reimage is the great saviour when it prob is doing NOTHING
Had to do a system restore in order to get the computer to run again, but the initial problem was still there. A waste of money and trying to deal with the company was a nightmare.
Reimage is a waste of time
Not only did it NOT work. They gave me the runaround on a refund, then stopped replying any more. I guess I'll never see my refund. Please research before using. I wish I had.
Stay away from this scam
The Reimage software DID NOTHING to fix my problem. Now that's not the end of the world right? Just refund my purchase. Whoooops they don't like to do that. Lots of e-mails back and forth, still no refund.
After I paid and got the license # I ran a scan. Scan complete, "Repair system" . A window opened selling the license again. It said "Expired"! Chatted with support and got a new #. That worked. A week later I ran the scan again... same problem.
During normal surfing it popped up in a new window and said "3 viruses found! Run a scan". and then the hype about the expired license and buy it again.
Having used Paypal, I initiated the resolution process. Waiting for results within 20 days.
Almost as bad as the old PC Doctor malware. Removed with Revo uninstaller.
Former Reimage Product Champion
Reimage recently initiated a policy wherein a browser plug-in called “Babylon” is automatically installed on your computer during the course of downloading the Reimage software. Babylon is a browser plug-in for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome. The toolbar overrides default browser settings, does not provide an option to automatically revert to previous settings, and is infamous for the complicated un-installation process. This behavior qualifies the software as malware in many users’ opinions. After failing to complete an uninstall of Babylon, I contacted Reimage support. It took the tech 57 minutes to uninstall Babylon.
It seems that the Reimage repair program is now a kind of Trojan horse that proliferates the Babylon browser technology. For me, the Babylon browser is markedly substandard, objectionable and very difficult to remove from your system. Prior to purchasing Reimage, I would urge all potential customers to research “Babylon” to understand what they’re in for.
Wish I had found this site sooner
Just bad all around. These people should be arrested for theft based on the inability to get refunded for a product that does NOT work.
It is a SCAM
System is no faster and does NOT perform any better. I keep getting annoying "Scan Now" messages. I have scanned several times and has to reboot after each one. Rebooting now takes over 30 minutes. Before this scam product reboot took only 3-5 minutes.
I have called tech support 4 times in 5 minutes and each time got disconnected after about 60 seconds. I don't believe they have anybody in tech support. I cannot get a human on the phone so I really think these guys and their company are fraudsters. STAY CLEAR of these crooks and save your money.
Stay away!!! They oversell the effectiveness and customer service is pitiful. I would give them zero stars if I could. Beware.
I agree with the "Horrible Tech Support" comment. Dont waste your time or money. I have spent 5 weeks trying to set an appointment with these guys. I work from 7 am to 6 pm. They suggested an appointment at midnight! Some people may be up at that hour but not me!!! I will get a refund and seek proffessional help.
Nice if it works but didn't work on my problems with my computer
I went to this site because I was told it was free to try. It is free to try but if you have anything needing fixing which we all do, then you have to pay. If you have more than one computer and want to use it on all of them, then you have to pay more. I got a free trial of AVG and it did all the same things and repaired the problems with my computer.
More harm than good
During fix it removes all updates, When windows reinstalls updates the computer will not reboot. Finally getting the computer repaired I upgraded to 8.1 which fixed the update problem. Will never run again.
Warning, horrible tech support
Reimage did a fair job of replacing some missing files, but after about a week I started having other problems, like not being able to load and run an Active X. Then I started getting error messages that my CPU usuage was extremely high. When I contacted Tech Support they wanted to remotely hook up to my computer and check it out. Fine I said, but it took almost 2 weeks for them to schedule a time, then tech was foreign and was late calling in. He didn't seem to know what I was talking about. He did fix one thing by changing the configuration of IE. From there it went downhill and I finally disconnected. Not one word back from them asking if I was satified or not. I don't recommend this to anyone.
Under New Management?
Not only did Reimage not work, my computer crashed eight times in a two day period, and each time I got 'the blue screen of death' and my laptop rebooted, there were no crash dumps and Reimage kept saying that nothing was wrong. I ended up saving all my files to a couple of USB drives and doing a full system restore. Wish I could've given a '0' for support.
I found myself in the hands of an operator in Asia, whose sole purpose appeared to be aggressive selling of extremely expensive virus removal kit. He scanned the computer, and then went into pressure salesmanship: in the end, I terminated the conversation, and he still kept ringing.
Nothing was sorted, and no improvement gained.
Sadly, a complete waste of space
don@t waste your money
Dont waste your money. Was expecting this would sort out my DLL missing file problem. No such luck still have it and £20 lighter.
This is software is a virus
I am literally paying professionals to remove this software from my computer. They have given up and they are reinstalling windows on my computer. This software is a scam! This page is filled with fake reviews. Hope you're reading this review quickly because it's bound to be deleted
Not worth the money
Have used this product for a while hoping that it would actually do something but to no avail. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to download 1/10 of 1% of the files that is supposedly need to "repair" my PC. And as I have said you can run a scan right after a repair and there will be the same issues that there were before the repair. As far as I am concerned this is a total waste of time and money!!!
Just another bunch of internet thieves. They don't fix anything and just want more money. Total scam
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
paid over £100 for this what a con didn't fix anything' but in the 3 weeks i have had it i have been hacked 3 times and had 3 fraudulent actions on my pay pal account (i have never been hacked in 21 years until now) i would advice anyone never to trust this company DO SO AT YOU PERIL
RIP OFF STAY AWAY
So I decided to buy this product because I was having blue screen problems when I upgraded to Windows 10. I, like a dummy did not research anything about Reimage........my mistake! I pay the special promotional price of $44.05 and in return they were supposed to send me a license key in a few short minutes. So, after several long minutes and not receiving anything I decided to call for assistance. The rep. asked me for some information and then stated that he did not see me in his system and said he was going to send me a link so he can take control of my computer...hahahahahahah yeah right!! So I tell him "You don't see my email but yet YOU just emailed me the link so just email the license key" He says he can't do that over the phone. I say " I didn't ask you to give it to me over the phone, just email me the license key" He then asks me to click on the link he sent me so he can take brief control of my computer so he could see what I'm seeing....hahahahahahahahaha yeah ok. I then said I want a refund, he transferred me to the refund department which was closed of course. I called earlier today and guess what? No record of me in their system.....gee shocking! I immediately contacted my credit card company to stop payment on this and as of this typing I still have not received my license key.....SCAM SCAM SCAM STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!
I found the service via Google. After reading reviews I deducted it's not a spam. I paid for one year license. The license key was sent to me via email however I did not immediately see where to type it. I called the Support number and spent 30 minutes listening to the support person explaining why my laptop was not working efficiently and she explained in a long way that an upgrade to the 5-Year license is beneficial. This was the only disappointing bit as it felt like a hard sell. The lady was insistent on making me understand that I need the upgrade. I turned out I did not need to talk to the support at all. Putting in the licence key fixed my laptop issue automatically. I may have other issues later on and I wanted to have the option to decide on an upgrade at a reasonable time later.
Scam is all that I can say. The program came up on my computer while I was online, and it stated that I had problems with my computer and that they had the software for Windows to stop the viruses ect.., they were using all of Windows icons, so like a dummy I assumed that they were legit!. When I paid the fee it gave me a telephone number to call so I called it. I spoke with a person with a very heavy accent and he sent me an email that was written in Spanish, while still on the phone with him I requested that he re-send the email but this time to send it in English he began to tell me that he couldn't, I asked again two more times, and he again told me he couldn't send it in English and that I just needed to click on the website, I told him I was not going to do that, and that I needed to be able to read what I was agreeing to and to know what it said, he then told me he would send me another email with a website to click on and I would be able to do it in English. I refused and told him at this point that I felt that I had been scammed and wanted my money back. He transferred me to billing, I was on hold then got a busy signal, I called back 4 times (one girl twice)and each time I got put on hold the got hung up on with no resolution. I went to their home page and called the number and spoke with a person and they transferred me and this time it didn't even transfer just a hang up. I will be reporting them to the BBB, putting a stop payment on the fee thy charged me, writing this, I contacted Windows and reported this company and by the way it is a company "Business Services" that processed my VISA for the fee, and I can't get in contact with them YET!!!!! I will also tell everyone and anyone who I come in contact with to not use your scam product and give them the low-down on my experience!!!!! I DO NOT recommend this to ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ads never stop popping up
My laptop never had pop up ads before installing this. I even installed their pop up blocker tool. It didn't solve my problems. Thank to this more ads keep popping up. After uninstalling every bit of this product, the ads never stopped.
this is a scam
I was provided a license key and it worked the first run. I run the second time the license key was now invalid. Contacted their tech support and tech support required himself to be authorized to get into my computer for him to fix it. And that is scary and I do not trust it to be done that way. Had bad experience in the past.. That is one of the sources of computer hacking. I AM NOW WORKING FOR REFUND.
Not for the novice but works well.
We had a pc that was seriously infected and also had a bad HD. After replacing the HD and imaging system over, we were able to cleanup all. After all that work the only windows 7 feature that was not working(and it is very important) was windows update service.
Not wanting to be beat by this we tried, in vain, for days to repair this. As a Microsoft partner company no help from them was able to resolve the issue. In desperation we tried reImagePlus and to our amazement it fixed all.
Have yet to get a confirmation on my order. Can you please advise. Thank you, Thomas Kessler
after running this program i ran a full scan with mcafee because while it was downloading new files it was downloading viruses and trojans that my mcafee picked up on , when i rebooted it installed the same viruses and trojans , make sure you run a full scan after it has finished doing what it does
TO REIMAGE SOFTWARE COMPANY:
FUCK YOU AND GET THE FUCK OFF MY COMPUTER ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
i believe this is a scam on their part to scare you into believing you have major virus on your computer and need to spend additional money up to 500 dollars to get your computer fixed properly
Reimage saved my PC
My computer was so screwed up it would barely connect to the internet, then freeze. I read about Reimage and gave it a try. Even with a bad connection it saved the CPU from the trash bin. It took several hours, but the result was well worth it. My PC ran as fast or faster than when new. After two years of running well I had the same issues again and purchased another one year of reimage service. Presto, all repairs completed online in a few hours, and now windows system again works like new.
I would recommend to any family member or friend. No scam here, Reimage has twice rectified any and all issues with my PC.
it's a scam
i needed a good virus hunter and wanted a program that could repair damaged files... so i got this program about 2 weeks ago and it said to '' call this number to have program activated '' the lady who answered proceeded to request that she be able to remotely assist which i stupidly agreed to... she ran it then told me i had a trojan in my system32 driver and for $129.00 she could remove it after i had just paid to get the program... come to find out reimage repair was the source of the trojan.... so i paid to be hacked!!!! now i'm not likely to see a refund and i'm preparing to try to get the auto billing stopped.. UUGGGHHHH
reimage will not refund money
I called and asked for a refund, they passed me around to five people in India and I could not understand them they wanted remote control of my computer and I said no , I told them I wanted a refund they hung up on me.
Scary software and support
Paid for the Reimage program and obtained a license to use on one computer. When I ran it, it was still running after 4 hours. I called the support number from the software and the tech wanted to login to fix the program (LogMeIn). She started jumping all over saying part of the Windows OS had stopped. Then she turned me over to her supervisor and he loaded "Advanced Password Manager". He didn't explain why and then loaded a screen that wanted my credit card info to continue on. That's when I pulled my internet connection and demanded to know what he was doing. When he tried to deflect I hung up and I've been trying to delete all these programs since. BEWARE THEIR SUPPORT!. i see that some reviewers have had good results but I don't trust them.
Waste of a Day
Scan carried out OK . Paid for "One time Licence Key" £19.95 . Started repair and got to 77.5% and froze , left it for 1 hour ,still did not move . Deleted every thing & started again. This time it got to 86.2% and froze again . Left it another hour and still no action . Tried numerous times to ring help line & every time after about 10 minutes got cut off without speaking to a human . Restored my computer to previous setting & sought a refund . Not had any luck with that so far but I will keep trying.
